Herrington Carmichael is pleased to announce a strategic change in leadership in the Real Estate Team. After nearly 14 years of being the Head of Real Estate, Tim Hardesty is handing over the reins to Liz Hailey as of 1 June 2023.
Tim’s influence at Herrington Carmichael is not coming to an end and he will continue to work as a Partner within the Real Estate team. Going forward, the move gives Tim the ability to continue giving strategic legal advice to his clients, alongside his role at board level, helping the senior management team at Herrington Carmichael with the future plans for continued growth.
Tim first joined Herrington Carmichael as a trainee in 1999, going on to qualify as a solicitor in 2001. After just three years, he became a partner in the firm and started his position as Head of Real Estate in 2010. During his time leading the team, Tim has driven exceptional growth and has managed his client relationships with finesse. His excellent work ethic and quality was publicly recognised in 2019 when his team won Property Law Firm of the Year at the Thames Valley Property Awards, and again in 2022 as Finalists.
We are very excited to have Liz Hailey, the ‘2022 Surrey Property Professional of the Year’, becoming the new Head of Department for Real Estate and continuing where Tim left off.
Liz joined HC from Bonnetts as part of the acquisition in March 2022 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. The HC real estate team will be in very capable hands as both the team and the firm look to grow further in the coming years.
“Leading the Real Estate team for nearly 20 years has been a great privilege. I am proud of my team and how far we have come together. I am pleased to be handing over to Liz and have complete faith in her leading the Real Estate team onwards and upwards.” – Tim Hardesty
