Whistleblower Protection

Whistleblowing is to disclose information that you believe shows a failure by your employer that you feel needs to be disclosed in the public interest.

These failures are usually issues such as criminal offences, breaches of legal obligations, environmental damage and health and safety risks.

Your employer might have a whistleblowing policy, or they might not. Either way, there are protections afforded to whistleblowers by the law to safeguard from unfair treatment. Our employment specialists are experienced in advising on these protections and are here to help you.

The wrongdoing that you disclose to your employer can be past, present or alleged. If you are unsure if your disclosure qualifies or are nervous about what may happen to you if you decide to  whistleblow, please get in touch with the team.
