Whistleblower Protection

To whistleblow is to disclose information that you believe shows a failure by your employer that you feel needs to be disclosed in the public interest.

These failures are usually issues such as criminal offences, breaches of legal obligations, environmental damage and health and safety risks.

Your employer might have a whistleblowing policy, or they might not. Either way, there are protections afforded to whistleblowers by the law to safeguard from unfair treatment or we can advise you on these protections.

The wrongdoing that you disclose to your employer can be past, present or alleged. If you are unsure if your disclosure qualifies or are nervous about what may happen to you if you decide to  whistleblow, please get in touch with the team.
