TechPoint is a private company specialising in design support, supply chain solutions, and electronics manufacturing services (EMS). With a turnover of approximately £30 million and 150–200 employees, the company aimed to streamline operations by relocating several group companies into one centralised HQ.
The Challenge
The client needed to:
- Secure a new lease for a large unit at VPark, Basingstoke.
- Align the relocation with break dates at various existing UK sites.
- Ensure a smooth transition without operational disruption. Timing was critical, and the transaction required careful coordination across multiple properties and legal documents.
Our Approach
We provided end-to-end legal support, including:
- Full property due diligence on the new HQ site.
- Negotiation and completion of the Lease, Rent Deposit Deed, and Licence for Alterations to enable fit-out works.
- Advice on termination rights and responsibilities at the client’s existing sites.
- Exercising break rights to ensure a seamless relocation.
The Outcome
The lease was completed in February 2025, enabling the client to relocate on schedule. The transition was smooth, cost-effective, and aligned with the client’s operational goals. The new HQ now serves as a central hub for TechPoint’s UK operations.
