Steve Wareham is stepping away from law
Having spent 40 years establishing a thriving and diverse property practice, Steve Wareham has decided to step away from the legal profession and begin his well-earned retirement from the law.
Steve joined Herrington Carmichael as part of the Bonnetts acquisition in March 2022 and over the last 13 months has aided in the transition of the Bonnetts team and his clients.
Steve has acted for a wide range of clients covering a broad spectrum of property work. His clients come from various sectors, from car rental, restaurants, pubs, professional services, freight forwarders, care homes, retail, industrial, developers and investors to name but a few.
Over the years, Steve has generated some fantastic relationships and referrals, his clients have always appreciated his proactive, no-nonsense approach and ‘hands on’ service as well as his technical expertise.
Steve is looking forward to spending more time with his family, friends and his flat coated retriever. He’s also planning to make more time for sport, watching his football team QPR and enjoying his cricket, American Football and skiing,
Yavan Brar, Managing Partner at Herrington Carmichael said, “I would like to take a moment to wish Steve a very happy retirement, he has been instrumental in the transition from Bonnetts to Herrington Carmichael over the last year, I am personally very grateful for all his support and I wish him well.
Liz Hailey, Partner in Real Estate said, “I have had the privilege of being in partnership with Steve for many years now and it has been a real pleasure to work with him. I am grateful for the time, endless energy, and dedication he has always given so generously to his colleagues and clients over the years and, above all, his friendship. I wish him all the very best for the future.”
Everyone at Herrington Carmichael would like to wish Steve a very happy retirement from law, he won’t be disappearing into the sunset straight away. He will oversee a short transition period and may even partake in a couple of hospitality events to celebrate and say farewell to those he has established relationships with over the years.
