Jamie Lynch
Legal Director, Real Estate
Jamie is a Legal Director in Herrington Carmichael’s real estate team with a broad knowledge across all aspects of commercial property. He has over a decade’s experience advising on non-contentious real estate matters including acquisitions and disposals, development land (options and promotion agreements), secured lending / real estate finance (acting for borrowers and lenders), the property aspects of corporate transactions and transactional landlord and tenant matters.
He routinely acts for corporate occupier clients, primarily on the relocation of headquarters or the acquisition of additional space. He regularly advises landlords on the asset management of their property portfolios. In addition to high end landlord and tenant work, he enjoys working alongside either landlords or tenants on individual lettings for smaller / medium sized businesses and private individuals.
Jamie has extensive experience acting on acquisitions, disposals and development of industrial estates, retail parks, data centres and office buildings. He also has a particular interest in and advises on green energy projects (including EE charging, solar and wind).
He recognises that clients are looking for clear, concise and pragmatic legal advice. Jamie appreciates that delivering a client’s outcome within their desired timescales is often the most important consideration when selecting your legal advisor. He strives to be as accessible to his clients as needed and prides himself on being highly responsive and quick to act. Jamie has been effective at helping clients that have historically used City-based law firms to achieve better value for money whilst providing the same top-level of service that they are used to.
Jamie joined Herrington Carmichael in 2024 from a top 50 UK law firm and before that practised as a solicitor in the Real Estate division of city firm Herbert Smith Freehills LLP, qualifying in 2012.
