James Musallam

James is a Commercial Litigation Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution team with a wide range of experience dealing with individual and corporate clients in a multitude of sectors. James has a specialism in secured lending disputes and insolvency. Previous work highlights include acting for a lender in relation to a £7,000,000 secured lending dispute and potential insolvency.
James also frequently assists the wider commercial litigation team in High Court and injunctive proceedings. James was listed as a Key Lawyer for Commercial Litigation in the 2025 Legal 500.
Having studied Law at the University of the West of England, James graduated in 2017and then went on to study the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, graduating with Distinction in 2020. He trained with a Guildford-based regional firm and joined Herrington Carmichael upon completion of his training contract in August 2023.
In his spare time, James enjoys cheering on Crystal Palace and the Cincinnati Bengals, as well as playing a number of sports to a very amateur level.
