Jake’s principal practice areas are commercial litigation and construction, working with a broad spectrum of clients, from individuals to multi-million pound businesses. His experience covers a wide range of pre-action, County Court and High Court litigation involving consumer protection issues, professional negligence cases against professional advisers, shareholder and director disputes, technology sector disputes, consumer and commercial debt recovery, general contract disputes and construction matters. Jake also has experience advising on contentious probate disputes.
Outside of the office Jake enjoys practising Jiu Jitsu, going to the cinema, television and cooking. He is also an avid Chelsea FC fan.
Jake is listed as a key lawyer by The Legal 500. He is also a member of The Law Society, The Society for Computers and Law, and The Society of Construction Law.

- Acting in a claim for misappropriated company funds by a former shareholder and director.
- Acted for a UK PLC on a £2.1million breach of contract dispute in relation to a Share Purchase Agreement.
- Acted for a retailer regarding the supply of a defective retail kiosk, securing damages and loss of sales revenue from their contractor’s insurers.
- Acted for an engineering sub-contractor in a £800,000 construction adjudication regarding outstanding final payments.
- Acted for individual clients in litigation involving professional negligence and the use of defective concrete (RAAC), resulting in the diminution in value of their residential property.
- Acted for a housing developer in relation to a series of alleged defective remedial works to a new build residential property.
