Lisa has worked in HR and Learning & Development for 30 years. Lisa started her HR career in retail which also gave her exposure to warehousing and manufacturing. Moving into professional services was a natural progression, from a sector that sells products, to the legal sector which provides services. Lisa is very people and client service focused. Lisa first worked in HR in a law practice in 2007 for a growing High Street practice, she then moved to an intellectual property firm and in 2019 Lisa joined Herrington Carmichael as HR Manager. Lisa thoroughly enjoys her role and working for the Firm, which very much helps her when recruiting others.
Lisa is responsible for the HR function within the Firm and supports the staff and partners with recruitment, onboarding, pay and benefits, social events and wellbeing, performance reviews, learning and development, career development, succession planning, employee relations, performance management, and various HR related projects.
Interests and Hobbies
The HR department at Herrington Carmichael is constantly busy with growing and developing the team. Lisa likes to be equally busy outside of work too and is out and about with family most weekends, exploring new places and trying new activities. Her weekends are often history related, as she has a teenager who is a self proclaimed history nerd, and they go on the search for antique and vintage items and take part in vintage events of all eras. Lisa lives in a thatched cottage and enjoys spending time gardening and sometimes even manages to just sit in the garden and relax!
