Chris Gemson

Chris is a Senior Solicitor within our Corporate & Commercial team.
Chris qualified into the Corporate & Commercial department in September 2019 having previously completed a commercially focussed training contract with the firm.
Chris deals with a variety of corporate matters, with a particular focus on M&A and banking. Chris also assists on corporate restructuring.
Outside of work, Chris is a particularly keen sportsman. You can often find him at Vicarage Road, supporting Watford. He also enjoys cycling, having recently cycled from London to Rome and completing the Prudential Ride 100 London. Chris is a keen runner, having completed a number of half-marathons.
Experience
- £8 million investment by BGF into Operational Solutions Limited – Advising BGF on its £8 million investment in Operational Solutions Limited, a leading counter–drone technologies business. This deal won Deal of the Year (sub £20 million) at the Thames Valley Dealmaker Awards 2022.
- £22 million re-finance for leading manufacturing business – Advising Amazon Filters, Europe’s leading manufacturer of bespoke filtration technology on a LMA based revolving facility and term loan facility to facilitate the exit of its incumbent private equity partner.
- £42 million re-finance for boutique hotel chain – Advising the boutique hotel group on the refinance of Allied Irish Bank with National Westminster Bank involving a complex redemption procedure and extensive due diligence on the group’s property portfolio.
- Refinance of banking facilities for a group of companies – Advising a group of companies in the care sector on a £7million refinance of their incumbent banking facilities
