Corporate Insolvency

Corporate Insolvency encompasses a number of different arrangements where a company is “distressed” and unable to meet its liabilities.

This includes administration, liquidation and winding up procedures.

Work includes:

  • Sales out of administration and administrative receivership for insolvency practitioners
  • Applications to appoint administrators or liquidators
  • Purchases out of insolvency by management teams, trade buyers or private equity-backed buyers
  • Advising on debt to equity transactions
  • Advising directors and shareholders on the potential impact of insolvency law and as well as advice as to duties in the face of a threat of insolvency
  • Advising on any legal issues which arise during any insolvency process (including administrations, administrative receiverships, LPA receiverships, company voluntary arrangements, members voluntary liquidations or creditors voluntary liquidations)

It is important to get clear legal advice in a timely manner if your company is facing an insolvency issue, as matters can progress quite quickly.
