New International Travel Measures
New International Travel Measures – to include 14 day quarantine on arrival in the UK.
The government will be introducing a series of measures to help keep transmission numbers of the virus from International arrivals as low as possible.
The measures will include;
- There will be detailed information provided to those arriving in the UK about the social distancing regime being implemented.
- Those arriving will have to supplying contact and accommodation details on arrival
- Agreeing to isolate for 14 days. If you do not have suitable accommodation the government will accommodate you.
- Strongly being urged to download the contact tracing app.
There may be some exemptions that involve matters of national security or to include travel within the common travel area.
These quarantine measure may impact work start dates for Tier 2 employees as well as Tier 5 & Tier 4 students. This may need to be factored in when making your initial applications and putting in work start dates.
