We are looking for an experienced Marketing Assistant to drive our brand visibility, support client acquisition, and promote our firm’s business objectives.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Marketing Assistant to support our marketing and business development efforts at Herrington Carmichael. This role will involve coordinating marketing events, managing digital content, and providing operational support to enhance brand visibility and client engagement. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for marketing, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Events & Coordination: Assist in planning and executing marketing events, providing logistical and administrative support.
  • Social Media & Digital Presence: Update and manage social media campaigns across different platforms to enhance engagement.
  • Website & Content Management: Maintain and update website content to ensure it is relevant and engaging.
  • CRM & Marketing Analytics: Organise and manage CRM data, assisting with analytics and reporting.
  • Branding & Promotional Materials: Maintain branded and promotional materials to ensure consistency and availability.
  • Operational & Administrative Support: Provide assistance with departmental requests and general marketing operations.
  • Copy Editing & Proofreading: Edit, proofread, and enhance articles and marketing materials to ensure high-quality content.
  • Market Research & Intelligence: Conduct market research and gather insights to support marketing initiatives.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all marketing materials align with the company’s branding and messaging.
  • Financial & Administrative Tasks: Coordinate invoice records, update budgets, and handle related administrative tasks.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Marketing experience or a marketing qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify alternative solutions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Desirable but Not Essential:

  • Knowledge of WordPress.
  • Experience with client databases or CRM platforms (Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Familiarity with case management systems.
  • Experience using email marketing platforms (Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor).
  • Understanding of social media management tools such as Hootsuite.
