The government has announced new guidance on allowing Tier 2 & 5 workers as well as Tier 4 Students to begin their work or studies before the application has been decided. Due to the current pandemic processing ability and times have become unknown. This measure will ensure that students and employees can continue in their respective fields whilst applications are decided.

You must meet the following criteria to be eligible;

You can start work/studies before your visa application has been decided if:

  • You have been assigned a CoS or CAS. you submitted your application before your current visa expired
  • You show your sponsor evidence of this the job/study you start is the same as the one listed on your CoS/CAS
  • If your application is eventually rejected as invalid or refused your sponsor will stop sponsoring you and you must stop working for them.
