Part 2: Rights during “Employment”

In the second session of this two-part series, please join Reality HR and Herrington Carmichael on Wednesday 21 September 2022 from 12pm – 1pm as they discuss the employment rights of “workers” and “employees” while they are working.

Why join?

Heidi Wadsworth, HR & Training Consultant from Reality HR and Alex Harper, Employment Solicitor from Herrington Carmichael will be offering this free session to give you valuable insight into your legal obligations and what you should be adopting as HR best practice. We’ll specifically be discussing employment rights, who has them and whether they are different if you’re dealing with a worker or an employee or a self-employed contractor. Alongside your questions, we will be answering the following:

  • A recap on whether you have engaged a worker, employee or self-employed individual?
  • How do the legal rights differ for each category?
  • What is HR best practice for managing workers, employees and self-employed individuals?
  • What are the common pitfalls for companies which means someone might be a “deemed” employee?
  • What are the legal risks if you get an individual’s rights wrong?
  • What are the practical steps you can take to mitigate these risks?

Please register, if you would like to join us for this free session.
