Being ready for IR35 – Fully Booked

19th November 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Being ready for IR35

From 6th April 2020, the private sector will be brought in line with the public sector in relation to the IR35 tax regime, which will imply new requirements on to fee-payers in a consultancy arrangement. The new legislation will shift the burden of determining an individual’s employment status from the individual, to the end user.

Herrington Carmichael Solicitors and Wilson Partners Accountants would like to invite you to attend one of our seminars addressing the IR35 changes.

Changes will affect individuals who supply their services through a personal service company (PSC), as the IR35 rules will apply where, were it not for the intermediary, the circumstances of the engagement would have the characteristics of employment.

There are important changes here for those companies, organisations and groups that engage people as contractors, through consultancy agreements or what may be considered self-employed relationships.

For the best possible chance of avoiding liability, companies should now be considering how their business is structured and how they currently engage with contractors or consultants.  This seminar will explore how the new regime will operate and how companies can best prepare for the coming changes.  Specifically, we will cover:

1.    What exactly is the new regime?

2.    What the implications are?

3.    The current tests for determining employment status?

4.    Practical steps to help businesses prepare?

If you would like to attend, please sign up ASAP to secure a place.
