Winners – Best Medium Sized Business

Mar 29, 2019

Herrington Carmichael has won the ‘Kevin Cantlon Award’ for Best Medium Sized Business at the Surrey Heath Business Awards.

Our business family tree can be traced back over 175 years in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire, it was in 1935, when Aldershot’s Walter Herrington and Camberley’s Graham Carmichael merged their legal practices, giving us the name we are now known for today.

Our history in Surrey Heath is long and features many highlights, yet it is our recent history that we have been recognised for. Our submission for Best Medium Sized Business outlined how Herrington Carmichael has really grown as a firm in the last 5 years. We have increased our specialist areas of legal advice, developed from 53 employees in 2012 to 112 in 2018. All of which has seen turnover increasing to £8.8m (2018) from £4.9m (2013) and now we have the ability to service our clients from Camberley to Canada, Wokingham to Washington DC or London to Liechtenstein via our international network IR Global.

Herrington Carmichael is delighted to be recognised for a local award like this, a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the business in recent years, the recognition highlights the good story we have to tell, both of our long and eventful history and the prospects we are creating to be part of our local and international future for many years to come.

Thank you.
