Collaborative Law

Collaborative Law is a process whereby couples reach a financial settlement based upon their needs rather than rely upon the Court.

A series of meetings are held at which both parties and solicitors sit down together and negotiate towards a settlement that is practical, sensible and legally binding.

The financial and emotional costs of pursuing this process can be a lot less than pursuing Court proceedings, particularly where children are involved.

The collaborative process encourages you and your partner to focus on being constructive, to think creatively and both work towards achieving the best possible outcome.

The collaborative process can also be used to produce pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and pre-civil partnership and post-civil partnership agreements. For further information on these agreements click here
