Tim Hardesty
Tim Hardesty joined Herrington & Carmichael in 1999, qualifying with the firm in 2001. Tim became a partner in 2004 and is joint Head of the Commercial Property Department. He specialises in land acquisition; disposal by way of unconditional or conditional contracts and options; strategic option agreements; planning agreements and unilateral undertakings; overage agreements; development agreements; deeds of easement. Tim’s expertise encompasses all stages in the setting up of residential developments through to the ultimate sale of the finished plots.
Tim is the primary contact for one of the firm’s major developer clients and regularly acts in multi-million pound acquisitions. He has recently been involved in the purchase of a development site for 115 houses and apartments in Hampshire, the purchase of a listed farmhouse courtyard and buildings for conversion and the construction of new houses. He has also worked on an Affordable Housing Agreement for £4.5m, which included a combination of development licence and off the shelf contracts.
Tim is a keen golfer and organises a golf society for people in the development industry. In his spare time Tim enjoys visiting art galleries and museums and is on the Committee of the Friends of Chertsey Museum.
