Malcolm Souter
Malcolm is a paralegal in the Private Client Department and has been with the firm since 2006. Prior to joining Herrington & Carmichael he worked in a bank in their trust administration department for 37 years including 5 years as Probate Services Manager.
Malcolm specialises in Probate matters and assists with trust Administration. He is also able to assit with the preperation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection Applications.
Examples of recent work include:
- A complete estate administration including arranging the funeral, selling property after investigation and confirming potential planning permissions and variation of Will to save Inheritance Tax for the beneficiaries.
- Intestate administration with foreign beneficiaries.
His aim is to ensure that clients are helped and guided through what can be difficult and emotional times.
