Katie Matthews
Katie joined the firm in March 1983 and works in the Family and Dispute Resolution departments.
Katie deals with all Public Funding cost claims. This usually includes dealing with assessments of costs by the court and claims direct with the Legal Services Commission. Katie is also responsible for handling all Legal Help costs and preparing monthly reports to the Legal Services Commission.
Katie is the firm’s Mediation Assistant and coordinates the Mediation Intake Sessions for Richard Whittington and Fiona Sawkins the firm’s mediators. She is the first point of contact when a client needs mediation assistance.
Katie also handles undefended divorce suits and attends court with counsel on matrimonial ancillary relief, children and child care proceedings and civil matters.
Katie also works within the firms Debt Recovery Department dealing with undefended debt collection cases.
She is soon to become an Associate of the College of Mediators.
