Jane Northway
Jane is Head of Private Client. She joined the firm in 2011 from a leading regional firm where she was Partner in charge of Private Client.
Jane specialises in inheritance tax planning for high net worth individuals. She is able to advise on the creation, administration and taxation of trusts, provide domicile opinions, draft Wills and subsidiary documentation. She regularly advises clients on estates with complex assets, such as business interests and foreign assets.
Examples of recent work include:
- Advising a director of a FTSE listed company, married to a foreign domiciled spouse, on an appropriate estate planning structure.
- Advising trustees of several large family wealth structures, providing them with practical guidance and detailed legal advice as required.
Her aim is to ensure that client's needs are correctly identified and effective, practical, simple structures put in place to ensure that these needs are met.
Jane was declared one of Private Client Practitioner's national "Top 35 under 35" in 2010 and again in 2011.
The "Top 35 Under 35" was designed to identify, recognise, promote and introduce the rising stars of the private client professions.
Jane has been named as a Prominent Figure on the City Wealth Leaders list 2012.
