Claire McSorley

Claire joined the firm in January 2006 following the merger with Matcalfe & Mather. She works in the Commercial Property department and specialises in purchases and sales of commercial premises, acting for landlords or tenants in connection with the grant or assignment of commercial leases, acting for developers in the acquisition of land for development purposes, land acquisition by conditional contract or option agreement and dealing with any supplemental agreements required as part of planning or during the course of developing a site.

Claire has recently been involved in the purchase of an office suite by way of a 999 year lease, subject to an existing occupational lease and advised on the purchase of an industrial estate for £14m for the purpose of residential redevelopment. She has also recently acted for a management company in connection with the grant of lease extensions for residents of the property (approx. 60 lease extensions), and for a property developer in connection with the refinancing of their property portfolio.
