The legal concerns of the management team are widespread from dealing with the initial acquisition offer, to understanding the funding requirements and their own position both during the process and post completion. We work with teams so that they understand what it is they are signing up to and how best to protect their own investment.
When acting for a funder, understanding the goals for that funder is paramount when looking at the legal protections. Most funders will have an understanding of what it is that they require; debt or equity, and also on how they wish to see their returns represented. We have experience of most of the usual styles of investmetn and have worked on a number of more unusual structures as well.
